Jay Malinowski and the Deadcoast open tour at The Carleton Bar and Grill,Halifax, NS

JAY MALINOWSKI AND THE DEADCOAST kicked off their current tour here at THE CARLETON BAR AND GRILL in Halifax. It would be an understatement to say that the evening showcased the breadth of Jay’s talent. The legendary DON FRANCKS was present to read stories from Jay’s book ‘Skulls and Bones’ which also features his very own illustrations. This may have been the only performance I have ever been to where there was so much dancing, but no one left their seat. The harmony between the readings and the music matched perfectly to create a beautiful evening of story telling. The syncopation of both vocals and music between ELLIOT VAUGHAN and Jay rounded out the intricacies of the entire production. This was not a show, it was art. Photo by Scott Thieu
