New Minas Baptist Church hosted High Valley and guests to an Acoustic Christmas. The evening began with Eric Samuel Timm who is an Orator, Auther and Artist. Eric is very passionate about his teaching and spreading the light to people to help eliminate the shadows. Eric has a way of speaking that make people stop and listen and truly think about his message. He is quite funny often comparing his home of Minnesota to places in Canada. I certainly did not have the opportunity to listen to such a motivating speaker previously and almost totally forgot that High Valley set to perform. The see and hear more about Eric please visit his website at http://www.nooneunderground.com

After his lecture, Musician Songwriter, Greg Sykes would take the stage for some truly amazing performances. Greg too would discuss a bit of his life and how he was chasing his dreams with his supportive family standing by him. Greg also had his road bumps along the way including having damage to his vocal cords and not quite sure if he would be able to sing again. However, Greg found support and faith in God realizing his family is truly what mattered the most. Luckly, Greg has healed and was able to delights us with his talents. High Valley would soon take the stage performing many of the Christmas Classic Songs they grew up listening to as well as many of their original hits. Fans were estatic to see the CCMA Duo of the year in an up close and personal enviroment. No matter how you felt at this moment or what you have been going through all year you were sure to leave feeling emotional and inspired. It was time to reflect over the year and look forward to the new year. We all know HIgh Valley can sing and perform but man these guys were entertaining, funny two of the nicest guys you will ever meet. They feel blessed for their accomplishments and not want to help others. This tour was an opportunity to raise awareness for the non profit organization World Vision. Up to this point on their tour a total of 75 children were sponsored by fans. I am sure many more were sponsored by the end of the night meeting their goal of 100 children sponsored through World Vision.
